For the longest time I have been wanting to do a photo shoot featuring a bike full of summer blooms. This summer I got the chance to do that with my daughters and son in law. My daughters, who run You Make Me Shutter Photography, agreed to both photograph and be the model along with her husband in the shoot. We went to a nearby park to take the photos at dusk. We were quite the site to see as we hauled a bunch of flowers and a bike to an open location and started to assemble the bike (the flowers will not stay on the wheels if you roll the bike). We even had a cute engaged couple who was out for a photo shoot with another photographer stop by and take a few shots. Most of the flowers are from my garden with the exception of some dahlias and celosia from Little’s Flower Farm.
I attached the flowers to the tire just using simple wire I had preattached at the house.
One more of my shots. The bike is a Huffy that is from Target. We borrowed this from a friend, but I really want one for myself. So retro.
Here are some more from You Make Me Shutter.
